Refit and Overhauling

AQUA MENDERS MARINE LTD has unrivalled experience in refitting and overhauling ships of all types, with a steady flow of mobilisations, upgrades and refurbishments passing through its yards. Mobilising and demobilising vessels for new offshore projects can involve a range of activities. Jack-up rigs come to us to have spudcan shoes replaced or their legs lengthened. Wind farm installation vessels require longer crane booms to match the new generation of turbines as well as the installation or removal of grillages and blade racks. Other projects include the installation and removal of cable carousels and gangway access systems.

Our refits and overhauling often involve upgrades to increase performance or capability; larger engines or new deck equipment, or the latest technology. We undertake highly-complex mid-life upgrades for naval vessels and have emissions-reducing options for every class of ship, ranging from scrubbers and ballast water treatment systems to hybrid and LNG propulsion systems. On other projects the focus is on replacing and uprating accommodation. Whether the vessel is a luxury cruise ship, a straightforward working vessel or a traditional sailing ship, it gets the same attention to detail and first-class craftsmanship.
